What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a standard product link with a tracking code appended to the URL. When you click through to a retailer and complete a purchase, the retailer pays us a small referral commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had navigated to the retailer directly — the commission comes from the retailer's margin, not from you.

Does this affect our recommendations?

No. Products are included in our guides and round-ups because they are genuinely good choices for the criteria we set at the start of each article. We do not accept payment from manufacturers or retailers to be featured, and we do not rank products by commission rate.

If we have a specific commercial relationship with a brand that goes beyond a standard affiliate programme, we will say so clearly at the top of the relevant page.
